Intimacy Expert Zhang Xinyuan on CCTV: Celebrating “She-Power” in Women’s Intimate Health
Zhang Xinyuan—love-and-relationship expert and founder of Vimi Wellness—was recently welcomed to the CCTV studio for the documentary series“Portraits of Private-Sector Entrepreneurs.”In a segment titled“She-Power, Blooming in Full,”she spoke with host Yao Xuesong about the synergy between women’s health management and emotional well-being, tracing the 17-year journey that has made her a pioneer in China’s intimate-care space.

On air, Zhang retraced her career pivot: she began in beauty in 2002, rising to training director for South China, but hit a ceiling in 2009. Questioning what“female happiness”really meant, she pressed pause, flew to the United States, and formally studied psychology and human sexuality. The experience revealed a near-total void in China around intimate health and fixed her new direction—moving from surface-level beauty work to the fundamentals of body-and-mind wellness.
Launching a brand in 2009 felt like“starting from zero”she admits. Sex education was taboo, so she leveraged her salon networks to introduce the first professional intimate-care line; within ten years it ranked among the industry’s top three. After founding Vimi Wellness in 2019, she built a trust loop that now includes a 3,000-sqm women’s specialty hospital in Hangzhou and, in Hainan’s Boao Lecheng medical zone, an anti-aging retreat centered on ovarian rejuvenation. The ecosystem—education, product, medical service—revolves around her proprietary“Vimi Agile Technique”pelvic-floor protocol and its 21-day training course, covering everything from health literacy to clinical treatment.

Throughout the interview Zhang stressed that women’s health is never only physical; psychology and relationships are inseparable. Her next mission is to popularize science-based, essentially free health knowledge so women can live proactively and depend less on emergency care.
The episode “She-Power, Blooming in Full” first aired 17 August 2025, with rebroadcasts on 19, 20 and 21 August. Zhang’s story spotlights the grit of a female entrepreneur and offers a roadmap for any woman ready to claim her own power.
